Happy Independence Day!

I remember when I was in public grade (elementary) school that we would, without fail, say the pledge to the flag. It was just about the first thing we would do after attendance was taken. We also had a music class once or twice a week where we would learn many patriotic songs. I especially remember learning all the verses to My Country 'Tis of Thee and I could probably remember them if I really...had...to. After all, it has been a few years.
I found a website that not only shares the lyrics to many of our American patriotic songs but it also allows you to listen to the melody. Some of you moms and teachers may already be familiar with this website and you can find it here. It's really a great way to get your kids and grandkids familiar with our country's songs. I know many adults that don't know the words to many of our patriotic songs because they weren't taught them in school, so I thought this website was pretty great and I wanted to share it with you all.
Have a safe and happy Independence Day!

At our school, everyday, right after attendance, we all stand and make our pledge.
And at every ballgame we sing our National Anthem.
Yes, there are alot of great patriotic songs.

Happy 4th!
